Trauma Triage & Transport

This program is approved for 3.0 elective EMT CEUs by the NJ State Department of Health--Office of Emergency Medical Services.  These credits are accepted by the National Registry of EMTs and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  NJ MICU personnel are awarded credit at the discretion of their clinical coordinator.

The Trauma Triage and Transport course was originally developed here at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, has been updated, and continues to be used across New Jersey.  It's purpose is to introduce you to the New Jersey state guidelines to determine the most appropriate medical facility for the trauma patient in the field.  First responders, EMTs and MICU paramedics have found this nuts-and-bolts program useful in their daily care of trauma patients.

The program materials will be provided at the course.

There are no formal prerequisites.  Students should be emergency responders familiar with the EMS system in New Jersey.
